About
Hi, I'm Piper.
Pipedream is what I call the whole of it — the writing, the painting, the shells I pick up on the walk and can't leave alone, the pots that come off the wheel a little uneven and stay that way.
I work in small batches, by hand, in the South Bay. Nothing here is mass produced and most of it is the only one that will ever exist. That means the glaze pools differently, the paper on each shell takes the curve its own way, and a painting is finished when it stops asking for anything else.
If you've read the essays, you already know the through-line: quiet, honest, unhurried. The work is the same idea in a different material.
The shop isn't open yet — the first pieces are still being made. Commissions are open a few times a year, so if you have something in mind, write to me — I'd rather hear from you than not.
